UGC-DEB has introduced a new admission process for distance education programs starting from the session 2025-26. As per the NEP (National Education Policy) 2020 guidelines it is mandatory to generate an ABC ID and DEB ID. The ABC ID of the candidates stores all the academic credits scored by them in their degree examination. Students can generate the DEB ID by using the ABC ID. Visit the UGC-DEB official website. Generate the DEB ID using the ABC (Academic Bank of Credits) ID. If students do not have an ABC ID, they can create one through digilocker. The DEB ID once generated will remain valid for lifetime.
