Tamil University Distance Education?: Admissions are ongoing for the academic year 2024-25 at Tamil University offering different regular-mode programs. 31 August 2024 was the closing date for the submission of an online application. Students are advised to fill out the form before the due date. Postgraduate, PhD, and special courses like BEd and MEd are offered through regular mode at the university. University accepts admission for the academic year 2024-25 on a merit basis and marks scored in TRUCET (Tamil Nadu Rural Students Talent Search Examination) entrance exam. Tamil University Distance Education Admission Process 2024

The application process at Tamil University is based on both online and offline modes. Students can enroll themselves till the expected last date of 31 August 2024*. The selection for admission is done based on the marks scored in an entrance exam and on the basis of merit. Registration fee for students who belong to the general category is INR 300 while for reserved category students have to pay INR 150 using several payment modes. Students are suggested to download the online application and fill out the form correctly. The submission of an application is done through the university’s official website.

Tamil University offers numerous specialized courses through postgraduate and PhD programs. However, the university also offers special programs like BEd and MEd programs. Depending on the admission candidates have to meet all the basic eligibility criteria. In addition, Tamil University also conducts its own entrance exam. Tamil University PG Admission 2024

Tamil University offers postgraduate courses, including MA, MSW, and MSc in different specializations like Anthropology and Tribal Studies, Sculpture, Performing Arts, Linguistics, Geology, etc. The duration of the UG-level course is 3 years spread across 6 semesters. Admission is ongoing for all postgraduate programs at the university and the deadline to submit the registration form was 31 August 2024*. 

Students who have completed their 10+2 from a noble university/institute can apply for the UG course. Additionally, students have to qualify for an entrance exam conducted by the university itself. The average one-year fee for any UG course is around INR 22000. Those students who belong to the reserved category have to pay an amount of INR 300 while INR 150 for the reserved category candidates. 

Tamil University PhD Admission 2024

Tamil University offers PhD programs in several disciplines through regular mode. Students can apply for programs like Tamil Manuscriptology, Fine Arts, History-Epigraphy, Lexicography, etc. Admission is offered to candidates who hold work experience. The complete duration of the PhD course is 3 years. 31 August 2024 was the closing date for the enrollment to any specific PhD programs. 

The selection for any PhD program depends on having a masters degree in the same discipline and the minimum marks required is 45%. Additionally, candidates have to appear in an entrance exam held by the university itself. The registration fee for general category candidates is INR 300 and for SC/ST category candidates, INR 150. Academic fee for all specialized PHd programs ranges between INR 45000 to INR 88000.

Tamil University Distance Education Eligibility Criteria 

An eligibility criteria for admission to Postgraduate, PhD, and BEd & MEd courses are granted on the basis of marks scored in an entrance test at Tamil University. Applicants shall download an academic prospectus to get aware about all eligibility conditions. It is suggested that applicants shall submit an application before the due date. • Any undergraduate degree is required to get allotted to a postgraduate program at this university.  
• In addition, candidates have to pass an entrance test of a respective course. 
• For any PhD program one has to have a master’s degree in any stream from an authorized university/ institute. 
• A minimum of 55% marks is needed to get into any PhD program. 

Tamil University Distance Education Application Procedure

The online application procedure at Tamil University is easy to follow. Those candidates who want to study any program have to fill out an online application before the last date. Following are some of the steps candidates need to follow: 

Step 1: Start the procedure by visiting the official website of Tamil University on any search portal. 

Step 2: Candidates have to select the course they want to apply for and read all the instructions regarding the admission. 

Step 3: After going through all the points applicants shall click on the “Apply Now” button. 

Step 4: To create an applicant Id and password students have to fill details like email address, phone number, Id proof and others. 

Step 5: Students will receive the enrollment number and password on the registered email address and phone number. 

Step 6: Now, enter your enrollment number and password to get logged in. 

Step 7: After getting logged in enter all the required information correctly. 

Step 8: Application form is divided into sections like academic, personal, payment, and documents. It’s mandatory to fill out all sections. 

Step 9: Proceed further and upload all the scanned documents like birth certificate, category certificate, academic certificate, and others. 

Step 10: Now, make a payment of online application fee fixed by the university. 

Step 11: Click on the “Submit Button” tab for the final submission. 

Step 12: Download the form for future reference.
