AMU Distance Education: Aligarh Muslim University has closed its registration process for the July 2024-25 session offering programs through regular mode. AMU offers admission to undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, certificate, and PhD programs covering various specializations. The university will soon announce the admission counseling date for students who applied through CUET entrance examination. Students who have completed a Diploma in Engineering course can apply for admission to BTech and BArch courses at Aligarh Muslim University and the last date for submission of an application was 9 August 2024. The last date for submission of application for Post Doctoral Certificate course was extended to 20 August 2024 (without late fine). AMU accepts several state and national level entrance exams, some of which includes CUET, National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test, and AIA PGET. Candidates are advised to read the prospectus for online registration, fee structure, and eligibility criteria by visiting the counseling portal of the university @amu.ac.in.

AMU Distance Education Admission Process 2024
Aligarh Muslim University welcomes candidates who meet all the basic admission criteria for admission to any regular-based program. Enrollment is based on the qualifying marks obtained in an entrance examination conducted on both state and national levels. AMU UG Admission 2024
Candidates looking to take admission at Aligarh Muslim University for undergraduate-level specialized courses have several options. BVoc, BArch, BTech, BA, BDS, LLB, and several others are the courses offered under the UG program. A wide range of disciplines are offered some of them include Life Science, Dental Surgery, Paramedical, Social Science, Education, Theology, etc. Undergraduate program generally lasts for 3 years and the maximum duration required to complete the program is 6 years along with 12 semesters.
Students who achieved a minimum aggregate mark of 50% in their 10+2 examination or an equivalent can qualify for admission to AMU. Additionally, candidates have to appear in the CUET entrance examination before applying for a specialized course. A registration fee of INR 1000 is required to be paid via several payment options. AMU PG Admission 2024
Postgraduate courses offered at Aligarh Muslim University include Mtech, MSc, MCA, MS, and MBA. Applicants can specialize in several fields including Physical Education, Social Work, Mass Communication, Human Rights, Islamic Studies, Cyber Security & Digital Forensics, Operations Research, etc. PG specialized courses last for 2 years spread across 4 semesters. Enrollment in the postgraduate program is based on the percentage marks of 55% obtained in a bachelor’s degree in a relevant stream from a recognized university. Aligarh Muslim University provides various diploma courses through regular mode, in specializations like Engineering, Nanotechnology, Architecture, Design & Garment Technology, Secretarial Practice, and Interior Decoration. Complete duration of these diploma courses is generally 2 years with 4 semesters. Enrollment for 2024-25 has been closed at AMU for diploma courses.
No candidate shall be admitted unless he/she has completed all eligibility requirements at the time of admission. A basic eligibility requirement is to have a higher secondary qualification in any discipline from a recognized university. Total tuition fee for various Diploma courses is INR 18700 to INR 26500. Along with submission of an application form candidates are required to pay INR 1000 as a registration fee.
AMU Certificate Admission 2024
Aligarh Muslim University offers certificate courses in various disciplines like Word Processing, Computer Typing- English, Computer Typing- Hindi, Computer Typing- Urdu, Tally, Electronic Data Processing, Web Designing and Publishing and many more. The duration of the course is around 6 months.
For certificate courses, students must pass a 10th grade or an equivalent in any relevant subjects with minimum aggregate marks of 40%. Certificate programs at AMU range for INR 11000 to INR 19000. While applying an amount of INR 1000 is needed to be paid as an application fee. Admission to these courses is based on merit.

AMU Distance Education Eligibility
