Allahabad University Distance Education Admission 2025-25?: University of Allahabad commonly known as Allahabad University was offering admission for various postgraduate courses through regular mode. Online allotment for some courses like MPA and MVOC closed on 31 August 2025. AU has closed an admission for an undergraduate program offered through CUET UG and PhD program offered through CRET 2025 entrance test. The last date to register for PhD specialized course was 12 August 2025. Candidates interested in seeking admission to any desired course have to appear in several entrance exams such as CUET UG, CRET, and UGAT. Information regarding admission will be available at AU’s official website @allduniv.ac.in. 

Note: As per the guidelines published by UGC-DEB, Allahabad University does not offer admission to any distance learning programs. 

About University: University of Allahabad (AU) is the fourth oldest university in India. It is known as the Oxford of East located in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. This is a public central university founded in year 1887. AU comes under AIU (Association of Indian Universities) and ACU (Association of Commonwealth Universities). AU Distance Education Admission Process 2025

Allahabad University (AU) is currently offering admission for some postgraduate specialized programs and candidates can apply for enrollment until 31 August 2025. Students can enroll either online or offline, whichever is more convenient for them. Candidates shall register themselves by entering detailed information. Selected candidates have to appear in an interview round and document verification. Registration fees of INR 150 to INR 300 are required to be paid by candidates who are eagerly waiting to take admission. A few modes of payment for online registration are UPI, Credit/Debit Card, Online Wallet, and Net Banking. 

AU UG Admission 2025

At University of Allahabad, students can choose to study from different types of undergraduate degrees like BVoc, BCA, and BA. Graduate degree courses cover specializations like Media Studies, Food Processing and Technology, Media Production, Fashion Design and Technology, and Software Development. 3 years divided into 6 semesters is a duration to complete any UG courses. Admission to all UG courses has been closed at AU on 25 August 2025. 

If students want to join any of these UG courses, they should make sure they have a higher secondary qualification in any discipline from a recognized university. A registration fee of INR 150 to INR 300 has to be paid at the time of registration. A specialized UG program fees range from INR 15000 to INR 75000. 

AU Distance Education PG Admission 2025

Allahabad University offers multiple postgraduate programs for the current session 2025-25 including MA, MSc, MEd, MPEd, MPA, MFA, MBA, MCom, and many more. Presently the admission procedure has been closed for all PG programs and the last date to get enrolled was 25 August 2025. Admission is offered to candidates who have a UG degree in any specific specialization from an UGC-approved institute. To get selected to any specific course applicants have to clear an entrance test conducted by the university.  

These academic courses are available in different specializations like Painting, Urdu, Statistics, Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, and Philosophy. Postgraduate programs usually last for 2 years. An average course fee of a PG program at AU ranges between INR 35000 to 86000. 

AU Distance Education PhD Admission 2025

Allahabad University offers a PhD program in various specializations, including Humanities, Social Sciences, Science, Commerce, Law, and Education. The program generally lasts for 3 to 5 years, depending on different disciplines. An average course fee ranges between INR 25000 and 50000 per year, depending on the discipline. To be eligible, candidates must have a postgraduate degree in the relevant field with at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories). 

Admission is based on the Combined Research Entrance Test (CRET) conducted by the university or other entrance tests like UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, or equivalent exams. Au has currently closed the admission procedure for PhD programs and the last date to fill out the application form was 31 August 2025.
