Bharathidasan University Distance Education Admission 2024-25: Admission procedure has been closed for distance learning undergraduate and postgraduate programs for the July academic session 2024-25. Registration procedure closed on 10 November 2024*. Candidates who have met all the basic admission requirements set by the university should fill out an application form before the end date. All disciplines offered at the university for students include Zoology, Botany, Geography, Public Administration, and various others. The candidates have to compulsorily register for admission by visiting the Bharathidasan University’s @oms.bdu.ac.in.

The Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) by Bharathidasan University was established in 1992 to serve students in all distance learning programs. It is a public university located in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu. All major faculties provided at the university are recognized by the UGC-DEB. The university offers 41 programs including 20 undergraduate and 21 postgraduate programs. Bharathidasan University lets eligible applicants enroll for admission to its distance learning program if they meet all the basic eligibility criteria. If a student is applying for a bachelor’s degree he/she must have passed the higher secondary grade examination from a respected board. While students who want to enroll themselves in any postgraduate course shall have a bachelor’s degree in a related field. Enrollment is completely based on the marks obtained in the previous qualifying examination. 

BDU CDOE UG Admission 2024

Bharathidasan University offers a multiple undergraduate program through distance mode such as BCA, BSc, BLISc, BA, BCom, BBA, and BLit. These academic programs are offered in a variety of specializations such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Tamil, Bank Management, Information Technology, and Public Administration. Admission for UG program distance education is based on merit. Admission procedure closed on 10 November 2024. Undergraduate courses generally complete in 3 years. 

Eligible candidates must pass 10+2 with 45% marks. The average course fee generated by the BDU CDOE is around INR 2500 to INR 9700. A registration fee ranges between INR 250 to INR 400. 

BDU CDOE BA Admission 2024

A bachelor of Arts (BA) covers a variety of specializations like Economics, English, History, Political Science, Public Administration, Tamil, and Tamil Literature. It is a 3-year undergraduate program offered at Bharathidasan University through distance mode. Candidates seeking admission have to pass an MA degree in a related discipline or an equivalent.  

Enrollment for the session 2024-25 has been closed for all undergraduate degree programs. The closing date for admission was 10 November 2024. All specialized BA course fee range for INR 3600. The payment of a tuition fee shall be done online. It is mandatory to register yourself at BDU CDOE and the application fee needs to be deposited is INR 250 to INR 400. 

BDU CDOE PG Admission 2024

Bharathidasan University offers different postgraduate courses for students who have completed their bachelor’s degree. These courses include an MA in Economics and Tamil, an MSc in Information Technology, Computer Science, and Botany, an MCom in Financial Management and Bank Management, an MA in Human Resource Management, etc. Depending on the student’s bachelor’s degree of 3 or 4 years postgraduate courses will last for 2 or 1 year respectively. The university divides the academic session into a semester system. 

10 November 2024 was an expected last date to get enrolled in any postgraduate course. To be accepted for enrollment students have to finish a bachelor’s degree in a related subject. Previous education grades will be determined for admission at Bharathidasan University. The annual tuition fee ranges between INR 4100 to INR 13300. 

Bharathidasan University Distance Education Eligibility Criteria

For all UG and PG programs offered at Bharathidasan University distance education eligibility criteria may vary depending on several courses. One who seeks admission to any particular course shall make sure they match all admission requirements. Candidates who are eligible to get scholarship should apply immediately after being admitted into their respective programs. Some of the general criteria for admission are mentioned below:

• For any undergraduate program a candidate needs to qualify an intermediate exam with a passing marks of 45%. 
• Postgraduate courses are offered to candidates who hold a degree in any bachelor’s course with an aggregate score of 55%. 
• Bharathidasan University distance education does not accept any entrance test for offering admission to any UG and PG courses.
