BPT Distance Education Admission 2024 | Eligibility & Fee

BPT Distance Education?: Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) is an undergraduate specialized program with a duration of 4 years including 6 months of compulsory clinical internship. This program focuses on training students in anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, exercise therapy, and rehabilitation. Universities like Subharti University, NIMS University, and Amity University are currently offering admission for the session 2024-25 through regular mode. The admission portal  closed on 23 September 2024* at several universities. An entrance examination conducted for admission to the BPT program through regular mode are LPU NEST, IPU CET, CUET, KCET, NEET, and IMAT, among others. To get admission, students need to deposit an admission fee that falls between INR 40000 to INR 150000 (annually).

Note: As per the UGC-DEB guidelines BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy) is not offered through distance mode.

• Approval: BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy) received approval from the Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP) and the World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT). This course is offered through regular mode in India. 
• Eligibility: Candidates shall have completed their 10+2 or an equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as a major subject. A minimum aggregate of 50% marks is required. 
• Course Duration: The duration to complete the BPT course is 4 years with 6 months of clinical internship.

Eligibility Criteria for BPT Distance Education

Students who wish to enroll in the BPT program through regular mode in any selected university/institute shall go to the prospectus provided to them. Students should meet all the basic eligibility criteria set for admission. Some of them are given below: 

• Candidates shall pass an intermediate examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects from a reputed university. 
• Several universities require candidates to score a minimum of 50% marks in their last qualifying examination. 
• Students have to appear in a respective entrance examination and an interview round. 
• The minimum age required to take admission is 17 years. 

Fee Structure of BPT Distance Education

Each university has set its admission fee for the Bachelor in Physiotherapy program offered through regular mode. Several categories included in the admission fees are Library Fees, Laboratory Fees, Examination Fees, and Development Fees. The academic fee ranges between INR 40000 to INR 150000 it may vary depending on university to university. Payment shall be made through UPI, Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking, etc. Students are expected to pay an application fee at the time of registration that lies between INR 300 to INR 1500.

Below are the steps required to be followed by the students to fill out the application form at a chosen university: 

Step 1: Begin by visiting the official website of your selected university.

Step 2: Read the selected university’s prospectus thoroughly. 

Step 3: Click on the application link provided on the website. 

Step 4: To register students need to provide an email ID and a contact number. 

Step 5:  Students can log in using an application ID and password.

 Step 6: Students are advised to attach all the mandatory documents before submitting an application form.

Step 7: candidates need to pay a registration fee using any payment mode. 

Step 8: Click on the “Submit Button”. 

Step 9: Students can download the application form for future reference. 

Step 10: Students must proceed further after they hear back from the university.
