TNDALU Distance Education?: Candidates aspiring to be admitted to Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University can apply for undergraduate and postgraduate academic programs. The registration last date for the undergraduate program was extended to 10 August 2024. However, the deadline for admission to any postgraduate program was extended to 5 August 2024. Candidates applying for admission to the degree course will be selected according to the marks they scored in their qualifying examination and also based on reservation provided by the Government of Tamil Nadu. Students are suggested to keep themselves updated regarding counseling dates. To fill application form students have to go to TNDALU’s official website @tndalu.ac.in.

Note: Following the guidelines set by the UGC-DEB, TNDALU does not offer any program through distance education. 

About TNDALU 

Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University was established by the Government of Tamil Nadu in the year 1997. It is a public university, located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. TNDALU is a member of both the AIU (Association of Indian Universities) and the Indian Institute of Public Administration. Additionally, the university is recognized by the UGC (University Grant Commission). School of Excellence in Law (SOEL) was started in 2002 by TNDALU. It offers a postgraduate law program in 9 branches. Several scholarships are available for students who want to pursue any undergraduate program. TNDALU is one of the most preferred law colleges for students. Some of the leading companies that have tied up with the university are Steel Authority of India Limited, ICICI Bank, Khaitan and Co, Trilegal, etc.

Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University Distance Education Admission Process 2024

Students who want to enroll in any undergraduate, postgraduate, or integrated program have to meet all the eligibility norms set by the university. An online application form is available for students to take admission. The last dates for the submission of undergraduate and postgraduate applications was 10 August and 5 August 2024 respectively. The one who belongs to the general category has to deposit INR 1000 as an application fee while INR 500 is for the reserved category. The selection is based on the marks obtained by students in their previous qualifying examinations. 

TNDALU UG Admission 2024

TNDALU offers several undergraduate and integrated programs through regular mode. Integrated UG-level courses are BBA LLB, BA LLB, BCA LLB, and BCom LLB. The university also offers LLB (Hons) through an undergraduate program. The duration to complete the integrated program is 5 years with 10 semesters. Additionally, the LLB program lasts for 3 years divided into 6 semesters. The university has extended the admission date. 10 August 2024 was the last date to apply at TNDALU for an undergraduate program. 

A candidate should have passed a higher secondary examination (10+2) from a recognized university. A student should have secured not less than 70% marks in all subjects. Candidates who belong to the ST/SC category shall have scored 60% aggregate marks. INR 500 to INR 1000 is the online application fee for admission. Students are required to pay a tuition fee of INR 87000. 

TNDALU PG Admission 2024

A wide range of specializations are offered through the LLM master’s programs at Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, some of them include Business Law, Intellectual Property Law, Human Rights and Duties Education, Maritime Law, and many more. LLM program lasts for 2 years. Students have to appear in the semester-based examination. TNDALU was offering admission to the postgraduate specialized program and students can apply till 5 August 2024. 

Before submitting an application students have to pay a registration fee that ranges between INR 500 to INR 1000. Students who have successfully completed the 3-year undergraduate program or 5-year integrated program in Law are eligible to take admission at TNDALU for a specialized master’s program. Candidates shall have obtained 45% marks (general category) and 40% marks (reserved category). Annual academic fees range between INR 32000 to INR 38000. 

TNDALU Distance Education Eligibility Criteria 

The applicants seeking admission at Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University shall make sure they have gone through the prospectus provided to them. To secure a seat at TNDALU it is mandatory to meet all eligibility criteria. Here are some of the key points for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs: 

• A Candidate should have passed Higher Secondary Examination (10, +2) recognized by a UGC-approved university or institute for getting enrolled to undergraduate programs.
• Students should have secured not less than 70% of the total marks in all the subjects.
• The candidates belonging to SC/ST communities should have secured not less than 60% of the total marks. 
• Admission for the postgraduate degree is offered to candidates who hold a bachelor’s degree from any university. 
• There is no upper age limit for admission to TNDALU.
