BSc MLT Distance Education: Bachelor of Science in Medical Lab Technology is a specialized undergraduate program offered through a regular mode of learning. Students generally can complete the program in 3 years with 6 months of internship. To get enrolled in this program students need to pass a 10+2 qualification with Biology or Life Science as one of the subjects. A minimum of 55% aggregate marks is required to be scored. Some of the state and national-level entrance exams accepted by the universities are CUET, TJEE, LPU NEST, IPU CET, etc. Admission to BSc MLT is currently ongoing at various universities like NIMS University, Sharda University, and Chandigarh University for the July session 2024-25. 27 September 2024 was an expected deadline to complete BSc MLT through regular mode. Various universities have set academic fee structure that ranges between INR 50000 to INR 300000.

Note: BSc MLT is not offered through distance mode at any university.

BSc MLT Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor of Science in Medical Lab Technology is a 3.5-year course offered through regular mode. Several universities have set basic eligibility criteria for admission to the academic year 2024-25. To be eligible one should have passed the 10+2 examination with 50% marks in science discipline. For admission to any university, students have to appear in an entrance examination conducted on state and national levels. Some entrance exams conducted for granting admission to this program are LPU NEST, IPU CET, CUET, etc. Candidates are advised to go through the prospectus of a particular university to get allotted. 

BSc MLT Distance Education Admission Procedure

Online application process for BSc MLT is given step by step below: 

Step 1: Students shall visit a particular university admission portal offering the same program through regular mode. 

Step 2: One should go through the desired university’s prospectus for the academic cycle 2024-25. 

Step 3: Students must register themselves by clicking the “Register Now” button. 

Step 4: To get registered students have to provide an Email ID and contact details. 

Step 5: Login by providing an applicant ID and password. 

Step 6: Students are required to fill in all the mandatory sections like personal details and educational details. 

Step 7: After filling in all the required sections, students need to attach the scanned copies of documents. 

Step 8: Pay the application fee online using a credit/debit card, net banking, or UPI.

Step 9: Now, submit the application form by clicking on the “Submit Now” button. 

Step 10: Candidates shall download the application form for future reference. 

BSc MLT Documents Required

To complete application procedure students have to submit required documents that are mentioned below: 

• Bachelor’s degree certificate in Science or related discipline
• Mark sheets of the 10th qualifying examination
• Mark sheets of the 12th qualifying examination
• Caste certificate (if applicable)
• ID proof (Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, etc.)
• Passport-size photographs
• Migration Certificate
• Scanned copy of a candidate’s signature
• Caste Certificate (if required)

BSc MLT Fee Structure

Tuition fees for BSc MLT can differ depending on the chosen university or institution. This program fee usually ranges between INR 50000 to INR 300000 and students can make payments using online or offline modes of payment. UPI, Credit/Debit Cards, or Net Banking are some of the modes of payments made available for candidates. Along with the admission fee applicants have to pay a registration fee. Registration fees may range from INR 300 to INR 1000 which is non-refundable.
