Gandhigram Rural Institute Distance Education Admission 2024-25?: Admission has been started at Gandhigram Rural Institute for a BA in Demography and Development Studies and PG Diploma in Sanitary Inspector course offered through regular mode. Online applications for these two programs was available till 30 September 2024. Candidates have to clear an entrance exam to get admitted to a selected program. GRI selects candidates as per marks obtained in CUET entrance test or an entrance exam conducted by GRI. About University: Gandhigram Rural Institute (GRI) was founded in 1956. It is a centrally funded deemed university in Dindigul, Tamil Nadu. The university was accredited with an A grade by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council). GRI is a UGC (University Grant Commission) approved university. It offers 129 academic programs covering undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, certificate, and doctoral. GRI Distance Education Admission Process 2024

Applications are to be available for candidates in online mode at Gandhigram Rural Institute. Candidates are advised to read carefully and follow the instructions given in the prospectus. Before applying for admission students must ensure they meet eligibility criteria as set for each program. Selection to any course is entirely based on marks obtained in CUET or entrance test conducted by GRI. At the time of online students candidates who belong to the general category have to pay a registration fee of INR 600. No application fee is charged to candidates who belong to ST/SC category. Aspiring students must have filled an application form until 30 September 2024. 

GRI UG Admission 2024

At Gandhigram Rural Institute, students can choose from different types of undergraduate degrees like BA, BCom, BSc, BVoc, BTech, and BEd. This degrees cover specializations like cooperation, food processing, multimedia production technology, microbiology, geology, etc. If students want to join BA in Demography and Development Studies program, they should make sure they have applied before 30 September 2024. UG courses usually last for 3 years with 6 semesters. 

A registration fee of INR 600 has to be paid by candidates who fall under general category. Students eligible should have passed 12th-grade exam or an equivalent in a required discipline. A minimum of 45% marks shall be scored in their previous qualifying examination. Admission for academic year 2024-25 is based on marks obtained in a respective entrance exam. Gandhigram University offers many master level courses that students can study after they complete their UG degree. Specializations offered under PG courses are Rural Development Studies, Cooperative Management, Home Science Extension and Communication, Applied Geology and Geomatics, Development Administration, etc. These specializations are covered under several courses like MA, MSc, MTech, MCA, and MBA. Postgraduate program last for 2 years divided into 4 semesters.

To get admitted to any PG courses at GRI, students need to complete a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with at least 50% marks. PG program course fee ranges between INR 30000 to INR 95000. 

GRI Diploma Admission 2024

Several diploma courses in different specializations are offered by the Gandhigram University are Textile Technology, Agriculture, Yoga, Spatial Technologies, Applied Gerontology, Sanitary Inspector’s, and Sustainable Social Development. The duration for the Diploma course is 2 years. This university offers diploma programs based on semesters.
