It is the second oldest university followed by the University of Mysore. Karnataka University Admission Process 2025

Candidates can register for several courses through undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programs through online registration portal. Candidates who have qualified for state or national level entrance examinations of a specific course are eligible to be selected for admission. INR 100 to INR 500 is the application fee required to be paid while enrolling online and it should be noted that the registration fee is non-refundable. Karnataka University UG Admission 2025

Students can get admission to bachelor’s degree after completing their higher secondary education with a minimum of 45% marks. Students who belong to the General, OBC, or EWS category are required to pay a non-refundable fee of INR 500 whereas students belonging to the reserved category are required to pay INR 100. A relaxation is granted to the female candidate and they are required to deposit INR 250. INR 21000 to INR 65000 is the average fee for all undergraduate programs. 

Karnataka University offers undergraduate courses like BSc in Physics, Chemistry, Geology, Psychology, BTech in Mathematics and Computing, Electronics and Communication, Electrical Engineering, BA in English, History and Archeology, BSW, and BBA. Karnataka University is currently not offering admission for PG programs for the academic session 2025-26. The university will soon begin the admission process and applicants will be able to get themselves admitted till an expected last date of 28 March 2025. Some of the specialized postgraduate programs offered at the university are MSc in Electronic Media, Analytical Chemistry, and Applied Genetics, an MA in Kannada, Political Science, and Economics, and an MBA. Several other specializations are offered to the candidates such as Biotechnology, Applied Geology, Mass Communication & Journalism, and Criminology and Forensic Science. 

These courses generally last for 2 years along with semester based examinations. One can take a maximum duration of 4 years to complete the course.
