MDU Distance Education Admission Process 2024

Admission to Maharshi Dayananda University (MDU) Distance Education is allotted based on grades. MDU DDE offers both online and offline mode application. The mandatory application fee needs to be paid by an applicant ranging between INR 600 and INR 1000. Students are advised to be updated regarding admission to any of the chosen courses. Interested students must go through the official prospectus before applying for admission to any of the distance courses. 

MDU CDOE UG Admission 2024

MDU Distance admission 2024 offers several undergraduate courses for students, including BA in Humanities and Social Science and BCom in general specializations. To enroll in a preferred distance course, students must submit their application form through the official website before the deadline of 25 November 2024*. The duration to complete the UG course is 3 years spread across 6 semesters. 

Students who have completed the 10+2 examination from a recognized university are eligible to apply for UG-level specialized courses. For registration students need to make a payment of INR 600 to INR 1000. The course fee for distance education UG courses is INR 4000 to INR 4500.

MDU CDOE PG Admission 2024

Students will find a variety of PG-level courses available at MDU dde admission such as MA in Journalism & Mass Communication, History, Economics, Political Science and Hindi, MSc in Mathematics, and MCom. Candidates must not forget that the last date to apply is 25 November 2024*. The academic duration to complete the PG program is 2 years divided into 4 semesters. 

The eligibility for the PG course is to pass undergraduate courses with a minimum aggregate mark set by the university. The minimum eligibility criteria may differ based on the chosen specializations. INR 600 to INR 1000 is the registration fee that is required to be paid at the time of submission of an application form. The course fee is around INR 5000 to INR 9500 for all postgraduate courses. 

MDU Distance Education Eligibility Criteria

Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) does not require state or national-level entrance exams for admission to its distance education programs. There is no age limit for applying to any of its distance learning courses. For undergraduate programs, applicants must have completed 10+2 grade. Additionally, for postgraduate programs, applicants must hold a graduation degree in a relevant field. To gain admission for the 2024-25 academic year, candidates shall ensure they meet MDU’s basic eligibility requirements. Students who wish to enroll for academic cycle 2024-25 need to follow the steps given below: 

Step 1:  Candidates must visit the university’s official website and read prospectus provided by Maharishi Dayananda University before applying for their desired course. 

Step 2: Candidates should make sure they fulfill all requirements for enrollment. 

Step 3: Now, click on the “Register Now” button. 

Step 4: Create an applicant ID by providing an email ID, ID proof, and phone number. 

Step 5: Now, you can sing in using your applicant ID and password. 

Step 6: Fill out all important documents required. 

Step 7: Students must upload all the documents mentioned in the application form. 

Step 8: Incomplete application will be rejected. 

Step 9: Pay a registration fee using available mode of payment. 

Step 10: Go through an application form, and after that, click on the submit button. 

Step 11: Students are requested to take printout of a form.

As per the application form completion process, candidates are required to submit several documents set by the MDU. These documents are: 

• Scanned passport-sized photographs of the student.
• Scanned signature of the student.
• Migration certificate of the student. 
• A copy of identity proof, like a PAN card, Aadhar card, or voter ID.
• Birth certificate of the student.
• Scanned copy of the 10th-grade certificate.
• Scanned copy of the 12th-grade certificate.
• A scanned copy of the UG certificate.
• Caste Certificate (if required)

To enroll in a specific course students must submit their application form along with an admission fee. The admission fee for all programs ranges from INR 600 to INR 1000.
